Scouts Queensland operates Baden-Powell Campsite, Training & Activity Centre. This is primarily a campsite for Scouts, Guides, Community Groups and does have limited powered and non-powered sites for the public, who must sign up for a Supporter of Scouting annual membership for $20 before being allowed to stay.

From July 2023 the site has marked public sites. Please access Cash Avenue from Samford Road and drive until you see the main entry sign on the right.

All guests must check-in with the Caretaker at the office or by calling the Caretaker mobile on arrival before accessing the site.

The sites are open field grass only, most with access to power and some with water and some without any utilities. The amenities are poor in quality and rate at half a star only however, the water is hot and flows well and all pedestals are fairly new. The amenities are old concrete and we are definitely in need of funding support to upgrade them. We have a nice pool that is partially heated and available for the public to use (must not go near when Scouts are using).

We are dog friendly (Caretaker has two dogs) and some open field exercise off leash is permitted under owner control. Please pick up after your dog.

The rest of the campsite is not accessible to the public (eg walking tracks etc please see public site map link below) and when Scouts or Guides are on site, public campers must remain a large distance away for child safety requirements.

This is a very peaceful and quiet site and late night noise is not welcome. The campsite has a strict noise policy.

This paid campground is owned & operated by Scouts Queensland. T&C's apply on entry please read them carefully. Thank you!

Important T&C's:

- Accessible by 2WD vehicle
- Fires off ground permitted - please bring your container and a tray to catch ashes so you can dispose the ashes in a designated location - please review campfire information in map pdf files
- Pets welcome as per site terms and conditions
All bookings can be made for a maximum 14 day period only, with an aggregate total of 100 days in any 12-month period at all Scouts Queensland campsites. There must also be two days between any return bookings.

This is a shared site where Supporter of Scouting public have limited access. Please read the full Terms and Conditions carefully available at:
